Professional industrial coding and marking machines manufacturer
We recently faced a challenge: removing white paint from glass fragrance bottles. The goal was to achieve fast, high-quality results: having the work done within 1 minute.
First Attempt: UV Laser
We started with a 10W UV laser marking machine. While it could remove the paint, it took around 40 seconds to remove the paint from one surface, too slow to meet the customer requirement. In manufacturing, speed is crucial,so we needed a better solution.
Switching to a More Powerful Laser
We then tried a 100W MOPA laser marking machine. MOPA stands for "Master Oscillator Power Amplifier," which is a type of laser that offers more control and power.
Why the MOPA Laser Worked Better
More Power: At 100W, it's much stronger than the 10W UV laser.
Faster Processing: The extra power meant we could remove paint much quicker.
The Results
With the MOPA laser:
1. We removed paint much faster than before.
2. The bottles looked great after the process - clean and beautiful.
Why It Matters
In manufacturing, finding the right tool can make a big difference. By switching to a more powerful and flexible laser, we turned a challenging task into a quick and efficient process. This experience shows the importance of sample marking in choosing the right type of lasers and laser wattage.
At TP-MARK, we always recommend that customers send us their products for sample testing, so as to find the most suitable laser type and power for their specific requirements.
